Dr. Gür completed his Ph.D. at The University of Texas at Austin in 2006. He taught at Sabancı University and The University of Texas at Austin before coming to Özyeğin University. He is the founding faculty member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and a founding member of the Department of International Relations at Özyeğin University. Dr. Gür regularly teaches courses and conducts research on Politics in Turkey and the Middle East, Nations and Nationalism, Critical Food Studies and Agrarian Transformation.
