Ömer Mahir Sarıgül works as an Instructor and the OzU Writing Center consultant at ScOLa. He received his BA degree in Linguistics from Hacettepe University, Ankara, in 1981, his MA in English Language Education from Yıldız Technical University in 2004, and his PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Yeditepe University in 2013. Prior to Özyeğin University, he worked at Naval High School Command as a teacher and head of Department of Foreign Languages; Yeditepe University as a teacher, Testing Officer and Material Development Officer; Maltepe University as a teacher, teacher trainer, English Prep Programme Coordinator and Deputy Head of Department of Foreign Languages. He also worked as the Undergrad English Courses coordinator between 2012-2019 at Özyeğin University.
