International Open Access Week / Institutional Repository (eResearch@ozyegin)
Dear Library Users,
We are pleased to announce that the theme for this year’s International Open Access Week, to be held October 20-26, will be “Who Owns Our Knowledge?”.
This year’s theme asks a pointed question about the present moment and how, in a time of disruption, communities can reassert control over the knowledge they produce. It also challenges us to reflect on not only who has access to education and research but on how knowledge is created and shared, where it has come from, and whose voices are recognized and valued.
Open access is a broad international movement that seeks to grant free and open online access to academic information, such as publications and data.
An Institutional Repository is an online locus for collecting, preserving, and disseminating, in digital form, the intellectual output of an institution, particularly a research institution.
eResearch@Ozyegin is an academic, open-access repository. It aims to collect, preserve and make Ozyegin University’s scientific output available online, without any or the least financial, legal or technical restrictions, in order to increase the impact and the visibility of the institution and its authors. You can find detailed information about Open Access and Open Science in the Institutional Repository Libguide.
