Business Faculty Members Awarded ‘OzU Transformative Learning and Teaching Grant’ to Explore Crowdfunding in Entrepreneurship Education
We are proud to announce that Assistant Professor Hannah Wen and Assistant Professor Bochra Idris have been awarded the Transformative Learning and Teaching Grant for their innovative research project:
“The Impact of Experiential Entrepreneurship Education on Entrepreneurial Intention – Integrating Crowdfunding Simulation into Teaching”
This project investigates the impact of crowdfunding simulations as an experiential learning tool in developing students’ entrepreneurial mindset and intention. It focuses on empowering undergraduate students in Turkey with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to pursue entrepreneurship with a focus on social responsibility, sustainability, and inclusivity.
As part of the project, the team ran a pilot trial where students participated in a simulated crowdfunding platform. Through this immersive experience, students created, evaluated, and supported real-world inspired projects aimed at generating social impact.
Through this project, Özyeğin University continues to pioneer innovative teaching methods that prepare students for real-world challenges and reinforce the university’s commitment to entrepreneurial excellence and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
