Assistant Prof. Suzan Tireki Joins COST Action CA22134

Assistant Prof. Suzan Tireki from the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Özyeğin University has joined the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Action “Sustainable Network for agrofood loss and waste prevention, management, quantification and valorisation (FoodWaStop)” as a member of 6 working groups.

The FoodWaStop project aims to solve the problem of Food Loss and Waste (FLW) by bringing together stakeholders from different countries to determine the causes of FLW and develop technological and managerial strategies to reduce it. The project intends to contribute to the circular economy by valorizing agri-food waste and creating a knowledge network that will benefit the entire value chain, from farmers to consumers.
