Assistant Prof. Bahriye Cesaret Honored with the 2026 Science Academy Young Scientist Award (BAGEP)

Assistant Prof. Bahriye Cesaret from the Faculty of Business at Özyeğin University has been named among the young scientists who are recognized with an award within the scope of Science Academy’s 2026 Young Scientists Award Program (BAGEP).

Launched by the Science Academy to support early-career researchers and promote scientific research, the BAGEP Awards were presented at a ceremony held on April 18. Since its inception in 2013, the program has recognized and supported 37 researchers from universities across Türkiye.

As part of the program’s mission to foster scientific productivity and support early-career scholars, Dr. Cesaret will be awarded two years of research funding to further develop her work.

At the same ceremony, Assistant Prof. Burcu Balçık from the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University also received her certificate of membership to the Science Academy of Türkiye.
