1.General Meeting of Tourism's Future Platform

Founded in 2014 with the support of ÖzÜ HoT Club, Tourism's Future Platform organized the first meeting at Özyeğin University in the same year. The Platform members came together on December 5, 2015 at the “1. General Meeting” which was hosted by Eastern Mediterranean University in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. 

The Platform unites tourism, hospitality and gastronomy student clubs of Turkish universities and aims to develop social network among universities, students and sectorial actors. Being among the founders of the platform, ÖzÜ HoT Club represented Özyeğin University with the participation of two senior Hotel Management students: Mr. Umut Kalkan, the former president of the club and Miss Perihan Demsoy, the current president. 

The final declaration of the meeting included the organizational chart of the platform and the upcoming events. The members selected Mr. Çağatay Ulusoy, a student of Eastern Mediterranean University, as the President of the Platform. Özyeğin University Hotel Management student Mr. Umut Kalkan was appointed as the Vice President in charge of the Alumni.
 
The Platform members decided to organize the following events in 2016: 

19 - 20 February 2016 - İstanbul Tourism and Gastronomy Event with the co-operation of Boğaziçi University and Nişantaşı University

6-8 April 2016 - Culinary Summit hosted by İstanbul Technical University 

6 May 2016 - 2nd "Discussing the Future of Tourism" Panel hosted by Yaşar University
