Managing Director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center at OzU
Bill Auilet, Managing Director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, will meet junior entrepreneurs on the Özyeğin University Altunizade Campus on October 25, Tuesday from 15:00 to 17:00 as the special guest of Turkcell within the cooperation between Turkcell and MIT Enterprise Forum-Turkey. Aulet will also visit he Startup Factory and will deliver a speech on entrepreneurship.
Who is Bill Aulet?
Bill Aulet is the managing director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, whose mission is to educate and nurture the leaders who will make startup companies successful.Aulet, also a graduate of MIT Sloan, has been serving as a senior lecturer at the business school since 2005.
In addition to his work in innovation and entrepreneurship, he acted as a pioneer for the success of MIT Sloan and its students in the clean energy sector.
In 2007, he was instrumental in creating the $200,000 MIT Clean Energy Prize.
A business leader, Aulet has raised over $100 million in funding for his companies and directly created hundreds of millions of dollars of market value.
He started his career 11 years ago at IBM, and became a serial entrepreneur after 1994. He served as the President and CEO of Cambridge Decision Dynamics and SensAble Technologies.
He then co-led the dramatic turnaround at Viisage Technologies as CFO in which its market value went from $50 million to $500 million in 2.5 years. The company has also made the Inc. Magazine’s annual list of 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the USA.
