Notices and Fines

 

Notices

Notices are sent before and after the due date of an item. The notices are only sent as a reminder, the user is responsible to return items on time and keep track of overdue procedures. User can follow her / his account online, by telephone or face-to-face at the information desks, and by sending e-mail to library@ozyegin.edu.tr.

Fines

A fine is processed onto the user account when the item is overdue or damaged/lost. E-mail  is sent to the user if the item is overdue.

User is responsible to return items on her / his account on time and keep track of overdue procedure. User can follow her account online, by telephone or face-to-face at the information desks, and by sending e-mail to library@ozyegin.edu.tr. User is responsible to pay the fines occurred on her /his account except situations with health problem (with doctor report) or natural disaster.

  • Late Return: All borrowed items are subject to be returned before the due date or renewed if applicable regarding  item type. The following fees will be applied when late return happens. Fines are implemented daily or hourly due to the character of borrowing period only effective for the opening hours of the library.

Daily 1 TLBook, DVD, reserve (daily), IT equipment type 1, games

Hourly 1 TLReserve (hourly), IT equipment type 2

When the amount of the penalty reaches 20 TL's on library account, until the fine is paid it is not possible to;

 

  • Borrow a new item or renew other items on the account,
  • Process the application of registration suspension,
  • Return the materials provided while registration,
  • Receive the graduation diploma.

 

Overdue item is processed as lost item if overdue period is more than 30 days for daily borrowed items . Lost item’s fee for students, stakeholders, and external members is the total of current selling price of the resource, 15 TL process fee and 20 TL late fee. This amount is calculated without adding the late fee for academic and administrative staff. Overdue hourly borrowed item is processed as lost item if overdue period is 120 hours or moreand fine is added hourly as 1 TL. Fine will be stopped at maxium 100 TL for each hourly borrowed item. This amount is calculated without adding the late fee for academic and administrative staff.

User library account is cleared and activated after receiving the receipt paid to the University’s bank account.
