Research

The research activities in the Mechanical Engineering Department concentrate on the following areas:

• Energy technologies
• Advanced materials
• Mechatronics

Research is  conducted in projects, research groups, research labs and centers.

The research in Mechanical Engineering Department is supported by TÜBİTAK, EU, UN and Goverment Agencies. Collaborative R&D  projects are conducted together with our partners, such as B/S/H (Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte), Arçelik, Vestel, Kıvanç Tekstil, IBM, DHL, BASF, Aselsan, Farba.

The research budegt has reached ca. 5 million USD since its establishment in 2008.

In most of  the reseach projects, not only the graduate students but also the undergraduate students are involved. Thus, they experience the engineering discipline, research and the industrial considerations at the early stages of their study.
